The Rebel T1i records a choice of full HD 1080p, 720p, and VGA video capture for true high-resolution video that beats or meets the image quality of far costlier pro camcorders. The EOS Integrated Cleaning System combats dust through the use of high-frequency vibrations that shake dust loose from the sensor's front-mounted IR filter every time you power up and power down. It has an ISO rating from ISO 100 through 3200 in standard mode, and from 6400 to 12,800 in expanded mode.

The Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS zoom lens is designed with Canon's Optical Image Stabilizer technology. Its stabilization allows sharp hand-held shots at shutter speeds up to four stops slower.

The Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS telephoto Zoom Lens is equivalent to a focal length of 88-400mm in the 35mm format (when used on Canon EOS cameras compatible with EF-S lenses).

The Canon EOS Rebel XSi offers two different body designs. An attractive solid black and a less-attractive two-tone silver and black model. Both models are available in a body only or single lens kit with the EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. The XSI is slightly larger than the XTI, the XSI just a few ounces, making it 1 pound and 2.5 ounces. The plastic body gives it a feel and appearance of a cheaper brand camera. The grip is not quitedesirable. The larger 3-inch LCD screen provides some necessary changes to layout control over the XTI model. Almost all the buttons are comfortable with your fingers and is thus ideal for easy shots. There are no two-hand operation needed with this camera. With one hand you can navigate between changing ISO, white balance, metering and so on. The menu makes navigation very easy.

Regardless of the pros and cons of XSI, still delivers the best in its classPhoto-quality, which is quite a surprise, since the high-resolution sensor. A nuisance is underexposed, the tendency to photos. Perhaps only the sharpness settings must give up a notch kick, better quality pictures. The color accuracy, dynamic and consistently good noise reduction profile clearly shows this model from the same class cameras. This camera also has internal and external flash and lenses make a very good edge to edge sharpness when takingImages.

The Canon EOS Rebel XSi will deliver slightly better performance and image quality than competitors, making it a worthwhile consideration. So the other day my wife saw a kind of Martha Stewartish on television. They had something to do with the kitchen, then in the dining room, and then the bathroom. And my wife was sitting on the couch with a notebook on his lap, taking notes. Something caught my eye as she surveying bathroom.

The Canon EOS Rebel T1i 15.1MP Digital SLR Camera or otherwise known as the 500D in other parts of the world is a starter package with higher resolution and better AF system is than its predecessor. The camera keepssame large, solid 3-inch with almost all the keys under the right hand LCD screen for quick and easy access. The keys feel each one so that you feel your way through quite easily.

The modes on the dial are mostly unchanged, with the addition of the Creative Auto mode, the half-manual mode that can be considered as an advanced Auto mode. In this mode, all functions are automated, with few exceptions. Essentially, it replaces shutter and aperture adjustment options with two sliding doorsScales, adjusting shutter speed and aperture, which is ideal for beginners, the price is to take some chances.

Specification-wise, the Canon EOS Rebel T1i uses a 15MP APS-C CMOS sensor () with a 1.6x focal length multiplier. This means that the function is set effectively the same as the XSi, bundled with an image-stabilizing kit lens, that balance off. Waking focusing and shooting in a quick 0.2 seconds and the camera can shoot in a rapidly in 0.3 secondscan provide bright light conditions and even a 0.6 seconds delay, shot in low light conditions. This A/D converter will change the signals into binary numbers. These binary numbers are then computed by a computer that is inside the body of the camera. After the numbers have been converts the image result will be stored on a memory card.

Photo sites will only measure light intensity. They will not measure color. If you have a color photo each site must have a filter, the color is to be covered to create. The colors are green, blue or red, these are the three primary colors. These primary colors can be mixed to create all other colors including the color white.

These color filters are then placed on a grid. There are twice asmany green color filters, because it is blue or red. The reason is that your eye is twice as sensitive to light that is green. The filters are in a so-called "Bayer" pattern will be arranged. There will be a series of red, a line of green, a series of red (etc). This is followed by a sample of blue, green, blue, green, etc.

Remember that each photo site can only be used with a color filter. This means that you need to use computer processing to create an image thathas a full color spectrum. Each pixel is analyzed to produce a composite color after they have all been calculated. If a red pixel in the middle of the green and blue pixels, the red pixel be white. Once the demosaicing is complete, the image will be adjusted to the camera settings. Most digital cameras have an adjustable settingsfor contrast, brightness and color saturation. Once the adjustments many cameras will also add the sharpening algorithm to make the picture even clearer.

The last step before the picture then on the memory "consolidation". Most digital cameras use what is a JPEG format for compression. Compression reduces file size by getting rid of the extra data. The data can not be restored so that the JPEG method is a "lossy"Format.

Most digital cameras allow you to save all images as uncompressed TIFF files, also known as raw data. The raw data is what the photo site data before demosaicing process. The TIFF files can be transferred to your computer when you can use software to get it with most of the same functions as the camera process that takes a lot more control.

The grip is not very desirableeither. The larger 3-inch LCD screen provides some necessary changes to layout control over the XTI model. Almost all the buttons are comfortable with your fingers and is thus ideal for easy shots. There are no two-hand operation needed with this camera. With one hand you can navigate between changing ISO, white balance, metering and so on. The menu makes navigation very easy.

Regardless of the pros and cons of XSI, it continues to supply the best in its class photo quality, Which is quite a surprise, since the high-resolution sensor. Canon EOS 40D - Full Review

The new Canon EOS 40D, announced by Canon on August 19th 2007, is the latest addition to Canon's line of "prosumer" cameras and replaced the Canon EOS 30D. While the EOS 30D was a minor upgrade of the EOS 20D, the new Canon EOS 40D is a whole new camera, with a variety of new hardware and software features including a new sensor, a new mirror/shutter assembly, a new LCD, a new A/D converter system and a new AF system.

I'm updating this EOS 40D review with new information as I continue to use and learn about the camera. Here are the updates so far:

This image of the back of the Canon EOS 40D shows some of the new external features. The large 3" LCD is immediately noticeable, especially to EOS 20D owners (the 20D has a 1.8" LCD). There's a new dedicated AF button at the top right and a dedicated "Picture Styles" button (the rightmost button below the LCD). Otherwise the control layout should be very familiar to users of the EOS 20D/30D.
From the front the Canon EOS 40D closely resembles the EOS 20D/30D. It's shown here with the optional 28-135/3.5-5.6IS USM kit lens. Note that that this lens normally sells for around $380, but is included for only $200 more than the price of the body alone when purchased with the camera as a kit, so it's something of a bargain. If you a then add a Canon EF-S 10-22/3.5-4.5 USM, you have good coverage from wide to short telephoto. That lens combination would give you the equivalent in 35mm terms of 16mm to 216mm, with a small (and pretty insignificant) gap from 37mm to 45mm.
